How soon should I book Hair/Makeup?
We tend to book approx. 4-6months out.
Why do you charge travel fees?
Each hour of travel is an hour of work that our artists would normally be providing a service. To keep your service costs down we do not build this into your service cost, instead there is a one-time travel cost for each artist. We recommend 1 artist per 4-6 services depending on your wedding day timeline. There are no additional fees for parking, tolls, etc.
Do you charge extra for Holiday weekend weddings?
We do not charge extra for weddings on a holiday weekend. As these weekends are always in high demand with our team, we do however ask for a minimum of 3 services booked per artist for weddings on a Holiday or Holiday weekend. Holiday booking policy includes: New Years Eve/Day, St. Patricks Day (SF festival), Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
When do I schedule a hair/makeup trial?
Your bridal package includes a complimentary pre-wedding session 1month prior(recommended) to ensure your hair/skin/accessories are what they will be on the wedding day.
Where is the trial done?
Trials are done weekdays out of our partner salon in downtown Pleasanton.
Are your rates negotiable?
We work hard to provide fair/consistent pricing to all our brides and so we always lead with our best price. A lot of vendors price high and negotiate low, this is not us. Do you provide Lashes?
Yes, complimentary lashes are provided as needed with all services.
Do you charge extra for....?
Most likely the answer is No. It is common for there to be many add-on costs for things like early start, long/thick hair, blow drying damp hair, etc. We do not do this.
Do you provide hair extensions?
We are happy to assist you in determining if hair extensions are right for you. We can assist in scheduling an in-salon consultation to select from the semi-permanent Tape & temporary clip-in stye extensions and can order them for you. It is your choice to purchase hair extensions. Semi-permanent(tape) extensions must be installed pre-wedding day. Clip in extensions can be installed day-of. If using extensions, we require them for the trial.
Do you offer airbrush?
99% of the work you see on our site is done without the use of airbrush. We do have one artist on our team that works with airbrush. Those that choose not to use airbrush are experienced in creating a long wearing, lightweight & flawless finish with brushes, leaving an equally beautiful and lasting impression.
What brand of makeup/hair products do you use?
We use a variety of products based on the needs of our clients. Some of our favorites include; MAC, Nars, YSL, Bumble & Bumble, Moroccan Oil and Redken.
What if I decide to add a service after our Proposal Contract is signed?
You have until 3 months before to finalize all services. At that time a final contract will be sent out and your next deposit is due. Note: changes made after the final contract are accommodated at the discretion of miabel and may incur additional fees.
How long will the services take on the wedding day?
We Recommend 45min-1hr per hair or makeup service. The total time depends on the total number of artists (1 artist: 4-6services recommended).
